[et_pb_section admin_label="section"][et_pb_row admin_label="row"][et_pb_column type="4_4"][et_pb_text admin_label="Text"] You guys...it's freaking FREEZING!! We've been in the mountains of CT for a week (kids have winter break) trying to ski in sub zero temperatures...don't get me wrong, we're having a great time, but it could be a LEE-tle bit warmer. My bestie from Florida visited for 5 days with her 9 year old daughter who had never seen snow, it was like a "Frozen" festival the whole time for the kids! Building forts, making snow balls, trudging over snow drifts taller than monster trucks, sledding in the backyard and skiing...it's a winter wonderland here! We loved having them visit and wish we could see them more often but it always warms my heart when we see them because we can just pick up where we left off and not miss a beat. And I love that our kids who are 5 days apart who only see each other twice a year can play together without hesitation. Wonder what we'll think about that in 10 years?? (possible arranged marriage here?).
The week has not been without incident however...we had a cracked toilet bowl in the upstairs bathroom and a small flood which leaked through to the downstairs bathroom causing the ceiling to leak...so that was fun. I'm happy to report we have a nice new toilet bowl that no longer leaks and will have to do some ceiling maintenance when we get back in a few weeks...the joys of home ownership. I'm pretty sure my husband called it the money pit once or twice under his breath over the last few days. Eh, my attitude it that no one got hurt and everything is fixable...it could always be worse.
So today is Friday and I know I haven't posted in a few weeks (sorry) so that means pay it forward. And since it's cold outside may I suggest you pay it forward with some warmth...a cup of coffee for a friend (or a stranger), a long hug, a home cooked meal to share with friends....Make it a heartwarming day!
